Online Casino 100 Seals Safety
The eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance (eCOGRA), announced today the new campaign to increase the number of guaranteed safe online casinos. The plan follows the announcement of 7 new poker room certifications with the, “Play It Safe,” seal from eCOGRA. The new campaign will create a new level of safe online casinos for customers and casinos committed to player safe gambling.
The campaign, entitled the “100 Seals Campaign,” hopes to have certified at least 100 online casinos and poker rooms by December of 2006, in the hopes that the seals will maintain higher standards of customer safety.
The eCOGRA campaign should reach additional audiences during the eight annual Global Interactive Gaming Summit and Expo (GIGSE) of 2006, held this year in Montreal, Canada. ECOGRA Charmian Michal Hirst will host a panel at the GIGSE on May 17th, at 2:30 pm. The panel will be called, “Self Regulation: Best Practices to Play It Safe,” and panelist will include industry big wigs such as Roy Cooke, and the player’s advocate Ted Loh.

The certification ensures customers that websites with the seal are concerned with the players needs for safety, honesty and fair gambling.
